Carpet reading
Learn to read a Persian carpet — its region, its weave, its symbolism — with the curator of our textile collection.
An atmosphere is built from many small acts — a kettle, a steam room, a candle. These are the daily and seasonal rituals that shape a stay.
Below the courtyard, a vaulted hammam of warm stone and slow steam. The Persian bath — garmābeh — has, for centuries, been a place not only of cleansing but of conversation, memory, and quiet ceremony.
Our 90-minute ritual begins with rosewater and unfolds through warm-room rest, a hand-and-foot scrub of black soap, a kessa massage, and a finishing pour of cold water.
90 min · By appointment · Included for Signature Suites.
Reserve a sessionEvery afternoon, between four and six, a brass samovar comes to life in the courtyard. Saffron, cardamom, dried lime, sour cherry — small glasses, sugar cubes, a pile of pistachios. No reservation. No price. Just come down.
It is, perhaps, the most Persian thing we do.
The café opens onto the courtyard with twelve tables and one printed menu of seasonal Persian small plates: a saffron broth, herbed yogurt, slow-cooked aubergine, a modern reading of fesenjan, almond-blossom desserts.
Breakfast is open to all guests; lunch and dinner are open to the public, by reservation. Wine list curated by a Tehran sommelier; non-alcoholic ferments by the kitchen.
Book a tableOpen to in-house guests on request. Small groups, four to six people.
